  Corporate Social Responsibility

GMS Group of Companies Ltd. understand the importance of passing on our good fortune by supporting charities, organisations and worthy causes that provide help and assistance to others.
We currently support the following charitable organisations:

  Ride High

Ride High is a registered charity that works with some of the most disadvantaged and isolated children in Milton Keynes and aims to transform them into happy, confident young people who are positively engaged in the outside world. The children may be in foster care and struggling to cope with everyday life, a young carer for a family member, having suicidal thoughts or victims of abuse or neglect, living in homes dominated by ill health, alcoholism, drugs or poverty. Many are disengaged and/or not attending school. Without the support of Ride High these children have few or no prospects of a healthy and happy future.

Unlike most programmes, we work with children every week for a year with the aim of effecting lasting change in their attitude, self-confidence and in their life prospects. We do this through a programme of structured learning which includes learning to ride and care for horses, associated clubroom activities and projects, educational trips, volunteering opportunities and work experience placements. Ride High helps the children to develop communication and teamwork, social and literacy skills and improve their confidence and self-esteem to enable them to go out into the world and fully participate.
