Readers
GMS Technology, part of the GMS Group, offer the latest access control readers that match a credential to permit a person’s entry through an access control point. There are a variety of readers on the market, including:
Biometric Readers
Biometric Readers significantly increase the security level of systems, ensuring the physical presence of the approved person to gain access.

Proximity readers
Proximity readers provide the highest level of convenience and are the most popular means of access for control systems. Proximity reader technology is cost-effective and unaffected by dirty environments, weather conditions or strong magnetic fields. A proximity card is a smart card that once read by the access control system, allows access to a premises. Cards can be personalised with company logos, personal IDs and photographs if required. Fobs contain a smart chip, that once read by the access control system, allows access to the premises. The fob is small and ideally suited for a key ring.
